Modifying the image

Locate the image file and right click on it, then select Open with, then select GNU Image manipulation program.

Select the first tool in the toolbox (Rectangle select tool). Select the area you want for the finished picture. If you don't like what you selected, simply click outside the selected area then try again. When your selection is complete, select Crop to Selection under Image dropdown.

Select Rounded Rectangle from the Select dropdown. Set radius to 100%. Click OK. Select the Selection Editor from the Selection drop down, Click Invert the selection (Third tool on the bottom). Press the delete key on your keyboard.

Select Scale Image from the Image dropdown. Ensure the width and height boxes are linked (3 link chain symbol between them on the right instead of broken link click the symbol to toggle between the two) Change the units box (to the right of Height box) to Inches. Change the width number to 6. Click the Scale button at the bottom.

Select Export from the File Dropdown. Select the filetype JPEG from the dropdown (just above the Help button). Select the new name and file location for the file and click Export.
